I play ball, I dance...
But like a friend also another poet inspired me to remember "I'm an artist first."
I write my poetry to take away from life its stress its hard times and all the negatives. It uplifts me and strengthens me. I put my all into my poems...
They are the inner insides of the man formally known to you as Juvi.

The writing on the wall…

The writing on the wall…

There he stood frozen looking at the writing on the wall,
The writing that covered where he would throw his ball,
So much joy this little boy had,
Now this writing done mad him mad,
Who was this person who came and stole his joy,
Wrote on the wall and angered the little boy,
He looked around but no one was in sight,
Like a bird to a worm he then took flight,
To the next wall around the corner he ran,
Yet there the writing was again,
No this can’t be how did you get here,
How did you know to put it right there,
You thief of happiness and bringer of pain,
He wishes the words were in ink cause he’d wait for it to rain,
Now the little boy sat there angry as ever,
For this was as close to the park he’d get,
His mother would always say never,
So as he ran around the wall to the other side,
He saw a group of guys that were trying to hide,
Get out of here kid one said,
Naw man come here take a hit to the head,
Replied another, that group and false cool drew him in,
The peer pressure was one battle he surely wouldn’t win,
He puffed on that blunt and coughed out aloud,
The laughs from the guys drew in a crowd,
A crowd in his head that said yo you can do this don’t choke,
The wrong type of crowd that lead him to smoke,
So as his mother called his name he said bye,
Stumbling away he was definitely high,
His favorite police officer called his name,
So he ran to him just the same,
Wide pupils and the smell the cop knew the game,
So he brought him inside straight to his mother,
Lucky thing for that boy and not the others,
That cop was the boys brother,
So the group got arrested as they should,
Giving drugs to kids in your neighborhood,
But even though those kids got arrested,
The little boy lost his joy with that new sign they invested,
“No ball playing” it said in small letters but screamed so loud,
Plus the fact that to the park he was never allowed.
